Ever played soccer with a Lion.... Kevin has!
South African animal behaviourist Kevin Richardson — known as “the lion whisperer” — can say he has played soccer with the lions!
This extraordinary footage is part of an advertising campaign for the Dutch menswear label Van Gils ahead of this month’s World Cup.
The great thing about this advertising is it is not only about the brand but Kevin talks about the pressures facing the big cats in Africa today.
“Today lions live on less than 20 per cent of their former range in Africa, due to habitat destruction, human predator conflict, hunting, poaching and illegal trade,” he says.
Not only is this a great way for Kevin to get his message out to a broard audience but also smart advertising from Van Gils.
